Delta staff members are eagerly awaiting the safe return of our students. Until the cases in Santa Cruz County begin to fall for a sustained period of time, we will maintain the distance learning guidelines provided by the state. This includes daily in-person contact as well as 240 minutes of in-person instruction and independent school work. Students in Guided Studies and Independent Studies will continue meeting with their assigned teacher. Committed to Connection
From the moment our school shut down, our teachers and staff jumped into action to provide the following:
Consistent communication with students and families regarding the school closure
Accessible and relevant curriculum through Google Classroom as well as supplemental texts and computer-based learning programs
Teacher office hours, small group meetings, and weekly one-one check-ins with students and their advisors
Chromebooks and hotspots
Support from our social-emotional counselor
Graduation and Cabrillo support from our college/career counselor
While plans to reopen the community and our schools are ever-evolving, we are designing several reopening models that align with the state and Santa Cruz County Health Department guidelines. We will keep our community updated in the weeks to come.
